The manufacturer Intel has officially introduce its new Moorestown platform designed for mobile devices. Intel Atom will be the generation or tablets designed for smart phones, in addition to other environments that are still to be decided.
They have the name Intel Moorestown Atom Z600, reproducing high-definition video or 3D graphics terminals or tablets. Intel Moorestown will reduce power consumption in standby mode up to 50 times compared with devices based on the previous generation platform Menlow. Audio playback time on Moorestown-gadgets will reach 48 hours, and videos – 4-5 hours.
For Moorestown claim to support Full HD-format video 1080p, module Wi-Fi, 3G/HSPA, WiMAX, as well as different operating systems, including Android, MeeGo and Moblin. The first commercially available devices based on Moorestown will appear on the market before the end of the year.
